Third Annual Surrey RCMP Iftar

On Thursday May 9th, Surrey RCMP hosted an iftar with the Muslim Community. The program was held at the Surrey RCMP Main Detachment in Surrey. This was the third year in a row the RCMP has hosted the Iftar with two representatives from all Muslim Organizations in Surrey.
The purpose of the celebration was to enhance the cultural understanding and build connection between the local Muslim community and the Surrey RCMP.
The program was well organized which started with the initial meet and greet followed by remarks from the Surrey RCMP and Dua by Imam Shahadat. Before the Iftar and the breaking of the fast, the Adhan was called by Maualana Sharyar. After the Maghreb prayer the program concluded with a sit down dinner.
At the end of the program Br Iltaf Sahib, President of BCMA thanked the RCMP and also invited them to join the Iftar at our Mosques during Ramadhan.
