Canada Day Celebrations at Masjid Al Salam

Monday July 1st, Hundreds of people gathered at Masjid Al Salam to celebrate Canada Day with Pride.
As Canada celebrated its 152nd birthday, Masjid Al Salam held an open House and arranged many activities for the old and young including Bouncing castle, balloons, Henna artist, BBQ, Ice cream and much more.
The main event included a cake Cutting ceremony after the rendition of "O Canada" sung by all gathered long with the Mayor of Burnaby Mike Hurley.
Other Dignitaries who graced the occasion were Leader of the NDP Jagmeet Singh, MP Peter Julian, MLA Raj Chauhan, Sven Robinson, BCMA President Iltaf Sahib, Burnaby Councillor James Wang, MLA Katrina Chen and MLA Janet Routledge.
