10-16-2019

The upcoming 2019 federal elections has so much at stake that ridings which could be a see-saw are getting extra attention from the federal parties. On Sunday October 13th NDP leader Jagmeet Singh Made a Campaign stop in Surrey. Singh was welcome by about 500 people. One TV pollster has called the huge Momentum for the NDP in this last few days as an “orange freight train!” Supporters across the country are getting on board with Jagmeet the more this campaign goes on with their “bold, progressive plan for a New Deal” for People.

Ed Broadbent, a former NDP leader said, “The momentum behind Jagmeet right now could be one of those moments. This could be a historic moment for Canada. This campaign, we’ve showed Canadians what it could look like to have a government that actually works for people and invests in health care, makes life more affordable, and fights the climate crisis. And we’ve shown what it means to have a leader who takes action. Who stands up for families. And who joins workers in their fight for justice.”

Local Candidates running in the upcoming elections joined Jagmeet. Annie Ohana candidate for Fleetwood Port Kells said, “Jagmeetsingh truly rocked Surrey. It is amazing to stand by an ethical leader who truly understands and listens. He also gives great hugs! Proud to stand by my amazing #TeamBC colleagues and so proud of our party, supposedly the "other" (according to media) seeing the largest swing onwards.

The #UpriSingh is real folks.”
