Voices of Muslim Women Digital Lens Film Festival

On Friday November 29th the Digital Lens Fall 2019 cohort had their film festival.
The students met once a week for 11 weeks at KPU to take part in a digital storytelling course. The course covered a variety of topics including media misrepresentation, identity, positionality and they even learned how to make and edit videos. The students worked towards creating a film about anything that they were passionate about. The theme of videos ranged from a wide variety of topics such the plight of Palestinians under occupation, Inter racial marriages, pursuing a career, Muslim women participation in politics, their personal stories and how they found their voice. The course was held at KPU and was sponsored by Voices of Muslim Women. Congratulations to all the girls who completed the course and screened their films.
