Iqra School Fundraiser

Alhumdulillah with the grace of Almighty Allah Iqra School Management has been able to deliver to their students in a big way. They are currently ranked as No. 1 In BC, and their school enrolment is also at a high.
Looking at the future of the primary school kids they had envisioned a high school some years back. Now they are able to move the school to another milestone by purchasing aboyt 2 acres of land to build their high school.
This will be a monumental task since their inception. Many parents who have their kids going to muslim schools are out of luck when their kids move out of primary school.
There are no muslim high schools in BC. Iqra School management has taken the responsiblity to fulfill their dreams. The land has already been purchased thru karze hasana and now needs to be paid back.
For that purpose the fundraiser was held on April 25th. About 600 well wishers attended the event and to show their support.
The event was very well organized. Many parents were eagely waiting to help out in the cause. The Guest of Honor Sheikh Alaa Elsayed was just as eager as the parents to be part of the community growth and success. He elaborated on the need to a good sound Islamic Knowledge and its importance. The Parents did their part by donating a huge amount of Money. The project is going to cost about $1.2 M. So far the balance remaining after the pledges and donations recived stands at approxiamately $640K.
