Masjid-ur-Rahamah Hosts neighbourhood Appreciation Day.

On Saturday February 4th,  Masjid ur Rahmah organized a Neighbourhood Apreciation Day.

Br Iltaf Sahif, Chairperson of the BCMA Surrey East Branch said, “Alhamdulillah, our neighbours have been really supportive and have stood in solidarity with us showing tremendous love and affection for the loss of innocent lives taken away by the terror attack at the Mosque in Quebec. “

He said he was touched by a letter received from Gordon Randall, a school teacher in honor of the victims who have lost their lives in the Quebec Mosque Shooting.

Among the guests who paid their respects to the congregation were  Ken Hardie MP, Sukh Dhaliwal MP,  Bruce Ralston MLA, Harry Bains MLA, Puneet Sandhar, Former MP Jinny Sims amd Rachna Singh.

Br Musa Ismail, Past president and speaking for the the Branch management stated that, “it was important that we  show appreciation of our neighbours who have expressed their condolencses in this senseless killing, and to sincerely thank our neighbours of Masjid-ur-Rahmah. In this regard The BC Muslim Association-Surrey East Branch decided to hold an Open House.

Br Waheed Sabir on of the Branch directors siad  That the event was a success despite the heavy snow fall and, “We wholeheartedly would lile to thank all the participants for thier tremendous show of support and solidarity and for all the  Flowers and letters of sympathy after the tragic attack in Quebec City."
