Namal - A vision for Pakistan first Knowledge city -Fundraiser

On Tuesday May 17, Pakistan Canada Association held a fundraising dinner for Namal College in Surrey, BC.
The perspective of Namal Knowledge City is the advancement of knowledge in Pakistan, by building a high quality education instituions with foreign standards with the help of foreign partners like the University of Bradford, UK and the national partner LUMS, Lahore.
It is a vision of Imran Khan, The Founder to have a first Knowledge City in Pakistan in Mianwali.
To help the cause, Famous Pakistani actor Hamza Abassi along with Imran Khan’s Sister, Aleema Khan who is a Member of Namal College were chief guests at the event. The duo is on a tour across North America and their visit to Vancouver was in hopes to solicit funds to expedite their project before the start of their new school year.
Hamza was quite impressed with the progress of Namal and he pleaded with the Pakistanis abroad to have a Big heart in Supporting for causes like Namal which is the only hope of getting Pakistan to move ahead and meet the challenges of the present times.About $25,000 was raised aolng with $11,000 in membership fees.
