Our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the Portland Heroes

5-31-2017

Three young individuals stood between a White Supremacist Terrorist and two young Muslim women on a commuter tram in Portland Oregon. Protecting and defending Muslim Women from a white Supremacist Terrorist. Two of them at the expense of sacrificing their own lives, and one badly injured, but expected to survive. These are the individuals that represent the best of the humanity and we salute them for their courage and valour.

Let us first remember and recognize the real heroes in our society, Taliesin Namkai-Meche, 23, Ricky John Best, 53 and Micah David-Cole Fletcher, 21. The three individuals who stood up to a bigot, a White Supremacist terrorist, Jeremy Christian, who was terrorizing two Muslim women on a public tram in Portland, Oregon on May 27, 2017.

Our deepest condolences to the friends and families of Mr. Taliesin Namkai-Meche, and Mr. Ricky John Best, who lost their lives while defending the two Muslim women from this terrorist. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do to compensate you for your grave loss. However, their ultimate sacrifice is a testament of great human ideals, consoling, comforting and assuring billions of people around the world that in this insane world there are exemplary heroes, like Taliesin Namkai-Meche, and Ricky John Best, who would not think twice of putting their own lives at risk to protect and defend those needing protection from hate, racism, and bigotry.

Among the same class of heroes as the above two, our third hero, Mr. Micah David-Cole Fletcher, who also risked his own life against a knife wielding, White Supremacist Terrorist, to defend and protect two Muslim women on Portland public tram. He was injured severely during this vicious, violent, and bloody attack. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

Muslims have also united together to ensure that the great sacrifice made by the victims and the families of TriMet victims are taken care of. Until now, nearly 10K Muslims have  online donated  $530K to compensate and support the victims and their families. Jeremy targeted  the Muslim Girl and had told them to 'go back to Saudi Arabia' and kill themselves.

Destinee Mangum, 17, was with her Muslim friend on the train when Christian approached them.

She told Fox's Oregon affiliate KPTV: 'I just want to say thank you to the people who put their life on the line for me with tears in her eyes.

'They didn't even know me. They lost their life because of me and my friend and the way we looked and I just to say thank you to them and their family and I appreciate them because without them we probably would be dead right now.'

Her mother Dyjuana Hudson issued her own message of thanks to the men's families.

'Thank you thank you thank you. You will always be our hero ....I'm soooooo sorry this happened.

'You didn't even know my girls but you stepped in and saved my babies life to the family I'm so sorry about your loss and I'm here if you need me,' she said, sharing the Facebook post of the mother of one of the brave men who died.
