Darul Quraan Academy of Canada hosted its 20th annual Quran Hifz Jalsa

Darul Quraan Academy of Canada hosted its 20th annual Quran Hifz Jalsa ceremony at Royal King Palace on Thursday, June 29th (6:30 – 10:30).

The graduates, Hafiz Afnaan Sahibzada (son of Mr. & Mrs. Askar Sahibzada) and Hafiz Fadlullah Omar Muhammad (son of Mr. & Mrs. Haji Dean Muhammad) completed the memorization of the Holy Quraan in less than four years along with home schooling. The academy has provided the community with 60 Huffaz, many of whom had led Tarawih prayers all across the Lower Mainland.

The program was under the supervision of Maulana Zafar Abid. Scholars in attendance were: Qari Abdul Wahab (Imam, Surrey Jamea Masjid), Shayk Oves Wahab, Shaykh Anees Wahab, Maulana Tayyab Qasmy, Shaykh Salahuddin Zubair, Hafiz Raza Shamim, Maulan Abdur Rahman, Qari Ghulam Baji, Qari Mazhar (Imam, Masjid Al-Noor), Hafiz Bilaal Khan, Hafiz Mustafa Mohammed, Hafiiz Farhaan Ali. The MC of the program was Hafiz Fawad Kalsi. Hafiz Imraan Ali recited Naat Shareef which was followed by a beautiful speech about love of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Hafiz Zubair Abid. Maulana Tayyab sahib gave a speech regarding the benefits of Madrasa and he also did the fundraising. Alhamdullillah, in a few minutes, the Academy was able to raise $25,000 towards a new facility. In the end, Hafiz Farhaan Ali thanked all the scholars and all in attendance for supporting the Academy.

The Academy would like to thank Brother Dawood (Afghan Chopan) and family for their support of the Academy over the last five years. The Academy would also like to thank those who contributed towards this good cause.
