Breach of Royal Etiquette'

7-26-2017

"Governor General David Johnston broke royal protocol by not only touching the Queen but by holding her left elbow all the way down a flight of steps after an event in London".

It is considered a serious violation of respect of the Royal protocol of Royal social etiquette and a breach of Royal etiquette.

In his defense G. G. Johnston said: “I’m certainly conscious of the protocol, I was just anxious to be sure there was no stumbling on the steps".

Of course, a genuine act of 'help'! Nothing wrong in performing duty as a Gentleman.

Majority of the people don't mind and see it as an act of courtesy to help an elderly woman to safety. No doubt his concern for her safety was more important.

Unfortunately, an act of 'care' is portrayed as a wrong doing. The reaction from some believers of strict Royal Social etiquette: "Oh my GOD! Touching the Queen? What a terrible crime committed according to the constitutional law of Royal order. Though, Muslim's scream of such violation would be much higher.

As a matter of fact the Royal Protocol of prohibition of 'Shomer Negiah' 'no touching' of male and female is a traditional religious Law  too.

The common rule is that people of the opposite gender do not even touch each other, let alone shake hands, unless they are husband and wife, siblings: but free to give and get help when needed and is not considered a crime nor a sin.

Right from the beginning of the world's Scriptural religions including Hinduism, Judaism, Judean-Christianity up to Islam the same law is continuous, and practiced more strictly among Muslims as Islam is the last warning of right, wrong and sins and the punishment of sins is made clear.

The law of ethics and high moral values and humanitarian help are the integral part of Divine Scriptural religions that are from our Creator-GOD and not man-made religions.
