PEACE RIVER MUSLIM ASSOCIATION FUNDRAISER

Saturday September 16th, A fundraiser was held at Fiji Islamic Center to pay the balance of the Karz-e-Hasna for Fort John Islamic Center.
Br Azhar Phoolwala who has tirelessly made it his personal ambition to have a Masjid in the far north of BC gave a presentation on the need and progress of their efforts.
Maulana Imran, Imam of Fiji Islamic center talked about the importance of building a Masjid. Br Yasin conducted the fundraiser and about $8000 was raised.
Fort St John Masjid is the first masjid in the most Northern BC. The Muslim community is growing at a fast pace and yearn to build a permanent masjid to serve the Muslim community in Fort St John for years to come.
