MYC girls soccer tournament

The Muslim Youth Centre held the Girls 4 on 4 Soccer Tournament on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The girls played an exciting rounds of soccer games, followed by the semi-finals and then the final round. The girls enjoyed playing soccer with friends as well as, meeting new friends. They also enjoyed pizza and drinks before the medals ceremony.
The top 3 teams were awarded with medals; 1st place (gold) winners were Team Fairies. The 2nd place (silver) winners were Team Tigers. The 3rd place (bronze) winners were Team Unicorns. The 1st place winners were, Team Fairies: Zoya Shah, Suhaila Khan, Oumayma Bennamoun and Manal Fatima. All the girls recieved a Certificate of Participation and MYC pens. During the tournament there were two girls who showed exemplary sportsmanship, leadership and great team effort. The two girls were Sister Zainab and Sister Bareerah. They recieved a Cerificate of Most Valuable Player and MYC pens.
A huge thank you to all the girls who participated in the tournament; as well as, their parents who were there supporting them. A huge thank you to Sister Rabia Waraich, Sister Shabana Nisha,Sister Shahana Shaheem, Sister Alia Ishmail, Sister Kaniza Ishmail and Sister Zuleika Husain, for organizing this tremendous soccer tournament for the girls.
On behalf of the MYC, we are extremelly appreciative of the everyone's support and for making these events enjoyable for the Youth in our commmunity.
