The Importance of Friday 17th Ramadan 2 A.H.

Lets us remember one of the most important dates of Islamic History and the most esteemed Sahaba (R.A.) who participated and sacrificed their life for Islam.
On This day 313 poorly equipped Sahabah R.A. defended themselves from a very well-equipped army of 1000 prepared to crush the Muslims from the Quraish.
The two groups met 130km from Medina at the wells of Badr.
On the night before the battle, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made the following dua:
"O Allah! Should this small group of Muslims perish, you will never be worshipped on earth."
Allah says about the battle of Badr:
[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." Al-Anfal -9
And already had Allah given you victory at [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. Then fear Allah ; perhaps you will be grateful. Al-Anfal -123
70 Quraish in were killed
70 seventy were taken prisoners
14 Sahabah R.A. were martyred,
6 were Muhajireen,
8 were Ansaar.
