Alameen Post welcomes an amicable settlement in the recent allegations controversy.

As an update to our earlier statement, Alhamdulillah we are pleased to announce that Shahzad Mansoory and Bilal Cheema have moved beyond the recent political conflict through honest and transparent dialogue. They have both reaffirmed their commitment to uplift the community through positive engagement and collaboration in areas of collective interest.
Both brothers took the time to listen to one another, understand the others perspective and accepted each other’s apologies for words that may have been said in the heat of the political moment. Bilal Cheema especially offered his regrets for words that were open to misrepresentation and misunderstanding, resulting in personal hurt and grief for Shahzad Mansoory.
Effective communication remains at the heart of reconciliation. While conflict can be an inevitable part of any political environment, it can also represent opportunities for positive change. Lets all learn from this as a community and commit to put into practice the model of reconciliation these brothers have demonstrated.
Both individuals are an asset to our community and in the spirit of brotherhood and unity they will not let petty issues come in the way of the overall welfare of our community. As our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said,
“Do you know what is better than charity, fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations among people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind.”
(Muslim and Bukhari)
We hope and pray the Almighty will forgive our shortcomings, enhance our collective understanding of the political process and enable us to progress together.
