Eid al Fitr MUBARAK from BCMA

5-12-2021

All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the universe. Peace and blessings be upon his final Messenger, his family, his noble Companions, and all those who follow them with righteousness until the Day of Judgment.

Dear members of the community, Assalamu-Alaykum-wa Rahamatullahi-wa Barakatahu.

Alhamdulillah, Allah subhanahuwata’ala, has showered his blessings upon us to be able to congregate for our Eid Salah today. During these unique times, we have discovered the importance of Masjid in our lives, and how it remains as a pillar of our spiritual well-being. InSha’Allah, it will not be long before we get back to praying inside our masjids and centers. In the meantime, we will continue to abide by the CDC guidelines and keep you all updated regarding reopening phases.

On this Eid day, I would like everyone to make dua of peace and justice for our Muslims and also our Christian brotherens who are tormented continuously to be illegally evicted from Palestinian lands even though they have lived there for generations. We strongly condemn the illegal evictions and the brutal storming into the Al-Aqsa compound by the Israeli forces who fired bullets and stun grenades at innocent men, women and children praying peacefully in the sanctity of the Masjid Al-Aqsa. May Allah (swt) protect and safeguard our brothers and sisters of Palestine Ameen.

Please continue to raise awareness and make dua for our Uyghur brothers and sisters and Muslims in Yemen, Rohingya, Kashmir, Africa and other places who are subject to terror and are deprived of the freedom and happiness that they deserve. The BC Muslim Association continues to help in many areas of the world in times of disaster and most importantly locally where many families need our help and much needed support.

On a closing note, Ramadan has been a month of continuous charity, worship, hope for forgiveness and reward from the Almighty Allah. I would like to sincerely acknowledge the effort of our BCMA Executives, office and school staff, Imams, and Masjid committee volunteers in various divisions. These brothers and sisters work tirelessly to coordinate daily regular and weekly Jumu’ah salah, setup online lectures, and online Quran & Islamic studies classes for our children. They continued to distribute Zakat funds, delivered food packages and supplies to the needy in our community, and coordinated other special activities in the month of Ramadan. May Allah (swt) reward them all with Jannah.

On this glorious day of Eid Ul-Fitr, we ask Allah to accept our fasting, charity, prayers & supplications, and forgive our shortcomings.

On behalf of the entire BC Muslim Association, I extend to you and your families, a very joyous… EID MUBARAK!

ILTAF Sahib

President – The BC Muslim Association
