PC Community Association celebrates Canada Day

This year PC Community Association celebrated 154th Canada day celebrations with simplicity acknowledging the historic wrongs and discrimination with the indigenous people. 

Khalid Chouhan President of PC Community Association said, "the racial crime lasted for centuries. The school system tragedy was so immense, thousands of children died. And the Survival still suffering from post-traumatic stress, alcoholism, and suicide. Which persist within Indigenous communities today. On this Canada Day, we stand by the indigenous people. We hope we all handle this crisis together as a nation. Because we all are the beneficiary of the great Canadian republic, that is built on the ashes of the indigenous civilization. After mourning, lets start reconciliation to bring communities together."

He further stated, "PC Community Association Aims to develop community sense of ownership, rights, obligations, and great Canadian values of multiculturism. We believe that Diversity is the source of our strength, not cause of division.  No matter what is our faith, birthplace, race, and language, we all belong to a great Canadian Nation."

PC Community Association would like to thank the City of Surrey Mayor Doug McCallum, Councilor Dr. Allison Patton, Councilor General of Pakistan honorable Janbaz Khan, Honorable Minister Mr. Harry Bains, MlA Jinny Sims, Parliamentary Secretary MLA Rachna Singh, MLA Jagrup Brar, MP Ken Hardie, Barrister Chengez Khan, Tarik Kiani, Mr. Naveed waraich, and Mr. Shaukat Khan, Mr. Saif Pannu, Mr Hamza Malik Mr. Kulwant Dhesi and others  attending the Canada Day program.
