“India has been against the people of Afghanistan” - Taliban spokesperson to India.

8-12-2021

Aug 11, 2021 –In an interview with India Today,  Suhail Shaheen dismissed of any talks and meetings between the Indian Administration officials ever took place dismissing rumors that India has been involved with the Taliban and the Indian delegation visiting the Taliban.

Indian journalist asked about the possibility of India being part of any future meetings being a member of the south Asian Region and a as partner of development. The response from Suhail Shaheen was quite upfront. He highlighted receiving reports of India supplying military hardware to the Ghani Govt. and bombing a Hospital and creating false propaganda against the Taliban. He did acknowledged the Reconstruction projects by India in Afghanistan.

Suahail further reminded the Indian Journalist, “I remember that India was siding with the government in Kabul while all the people of Afghanistan were fighting for liberation of the country against the soviets”, “At that time almost two million people martyred for the liberation of the country.”

“So now again for the last 20 years Indian has been against the people and the Freedom Fighters and siding with the occupying Forces.”

The Indian journalist again advocated for India to be at the talks reminding that USA has been fighting and is at the peace table.

He replied that America reached a conclusion that “there is no military solution” and so we are talking with them. In closing Suhail made it clear, it is up to India to decide what they wat to do in Afghanistan.

Indian journalist further asked about the minorities and the removal of the flag from the Gurdwara.

“It was a baseless claim, the members of Gurdwara committee removed the flag themselves.”

“When our people asked them why you have a takedown the flag, they said we were in fear.”

“So we assured them you have all the right and you had this right before as well under Taliban rule and have no worry about Security in the future.”

When the journalist asked about Danish Siddiqui’s killing, Suhail replied, “He was embedded with the Afghan forces and we were not informed about him. It is not clear who killed him.”

“Any journalist coming in our area we ask them to coordinate with us, and we will make sure they are not harmed.”

The Indian journalist further said Danish went to a mosque and was identified as an Indian and then killed by presumably the taliban.

He replied “that is not our policy.”

It is obvious the Indian narrative has been changing how Danish was killed and Suhail reminded the reporter that all along he was with the Afghan forces. The question that should be asked is why the narrative is changing on how Danish was killed?

On Pakistan’s help to the Taliban, Suhail said; “Pakistan is our neighbouring country, There are millions of refugees in Pakistan. The Kabul narrative is that without Pakistan we cannot win. It is not true. We did not win against the 54 countries of the world because of Pakistan. It was the people of Afghanistan who fought them. Now they are blaming Pakistan, it is mainly allegations.”

Finally he answered about the people chanting “Allahu Akbar.” He said those who are with us are  chanting Allahu Akbar. They are with the freedom fighters. We want a national Unity of Afghanistan. We want a peaceful coexistence with all Afghans. They are our people.”
