On August 20th Guildford Islamic Cultural Center hosted their first graduate of Quran Hafidh Program.

The nine year old Hafidh Sulaiman Beg son of Sikander Beg was taught by Shiekh Salahuddin Zubair at Guildford Islamic Cultural Center (GICC) Ibn Mas’ood Madrasah.

Hafiz Sulaiman Beg started Memorizing the Glorious Quran in 2017 and took about 4.5 Years to memorize becoming the Youngest Hafidh at GICC, IBN MAS’OOD MADRASAH under Sheikh Salahuddin Zubair and Surrey, BC to date.

Guildford Islamic Cultural Center (GICC) also awarded Certificate of excellence to Sulaiman Beg.

Sulaiman Beg is very unique and the whole community is very proud of his achievements.

He is the youngest hafidh to date at 9 years old and studies full time at Iqra Islamic School. Besides being a Hafidh, Allah has gifted him with a beautiful voice. During this short span of time, he has won many open competitions at MAC Center, Iqra Islamic School, Surrey Jamia Masjid in BC. He likes to participate in volunteer work and we hope he will lead the community soon In shaa Allah. He memorized the Quran just studying 3 to 4 days a week. With his passion and love for the Quran he finished in a record time.

We thank his father (Sikander Beg) who devoted countless hours with his son, the community,  Madrasah - Ibn Mas’ood Madrasah  and Masjid of GICC (Wasim Malik) and all Directors and his Quran Teacher ( Sheikh Salhuddin Zubair) and all Quran Teachers in Iqra Islamic School for making this possible.

We request everyone to pray for this young boy that he becomes a light for the Ummah, lead the Muslim Youth of Canada and serve the Canadian Muslim Community at large.
