EID Message from BCMA

4-27-2022

Bismillah-hir-Rahman-nir-Rahim,

All praise is due to Allah, the creator of the heavens, the earth, and every molecule that lies in between. We send blessings and salutations upon his final Messenger, his lineage, and the noble Sahabah and all those that follow the Sunnah and teachings of the Prophet, until the end of times.

This past month has been a very quick one, and we are saddened entirely for Ramadan to be ending so quickly. Surely, without a doubt, Ramadan is the month in which Allah showers His blessings and the doors of forgiveness are opened and the devils are chained. We were blessed this year to have the Masaajids back to full operational capacity. We have been blessed again with the ability to experience the amazing gathering of Taraweeh in all of our branches and places of congregation. We’ve listened to the beautiful recitation of the Qu’ran at night, and may Allah bless all of our Hufaaz for leading us in Taraweeh. After a month long of early morning Suhoors, observing fasting, and attending Taraweeh prayer, sadly, the month of Ramadan is coming to an end.

Let us cherish this wonderful day to spend time with our family and friends, connect with our community and enjoy the blessed day of Eid-Al-Fitr. On this auspicious day of Eid, we ask Allah Almighty to accept our month of fasting, charity, prayers & supplications and all of our deeds. We ask Him (SWT) to shower us with His mercy and to forgive our shortcomings. We pray that Allah gives us the tawfeeq to continue to frequent the Masjid as we have been doing throughout this blessed month, and most importantly keep us all united. Let us not hesitate or shy away to greet our fellow Muslims on the day of Eid. Let us not keep any differences in our hearts so that the blessings of The Almighty can descend upon us. With that said, let us continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in various parts of the world that are facing hardships and are deprived of the freedom and happiness that they deserve.

On this blessed day of Eid, I would like to acknowledge our Imams, office & school staff, burial staff, volunteer brothers and sisters, and the committee members in various divisions of the B.C. Muslim Association who put in long hours to better serve our Muslim community in BC. I am ever grateful to my team that are always standing by my side and have volunteered their valuable time to serve, establish, and propagate the deen of Allah in this beautiful province of BC and throughout Canada.

May Allah shower upon you and the entire Ummah of Muhammad (SAW) happiness, Barakah, peace and tranquility. On behalf of the entire BCMA, I extend to you and your families a very happy and joyful Eid Mubarak.

Muhammad Asad Gondal

President - The BC Muslim Association
