Zubeen Sahib takes the challenge to be the next Surrey Councillor


A Canadian Muslim sister has been named to run in the upcoming Surrey Municipal Elections. Zubeen Sahib, who is born and raised here in the lower Mainland, has now confirmed that she has agreed to run for the city council on Sukh Dhaliwal’s United Surrey team. 

Zubeen is a cheerful, well spoken and a respectable woman in our community. She has a very supportive and caring nature and has regularly helped with local NGO’s to support the underprivileged, and the needy in the community. She possesses excellent leadership qualities and has previously helped with election campaigns at various levels.

Zubeen is a Master Esthetician by profession. She is a married mother of 3 children. Her husband, Iltaf Sahib, is a well-known community leader who served as President of the BC Muslim Association among other roles. 

Zubeen has seen the growth in the City of Surrey over many years and is committed to helping make a positive difference in the future of the city.

Election will take place on October 15th.
