What does the assassination of Hassan Nasrullah mean?

10-13-2024

Some may agree or disagree with this man's character, his attitudes, and his actions, as he embodies many contradictions. What is more important about Hassan Nasrallah, the late leader of Hezbollah: the role he played and its significance to Iran and Israel.

We must realize, without a doubt, that both Iran and Israel share one defined objective and one definite project, with both parties fiercely competing to achieve it. That goal is control and direct influence over the Middle East, specifically the Arab world. Just as Israel has sought this expansion project and has the  military, economic, and political support from America and some of its allies, - Iran has pursued its own Persian expansionist project for a long time, recruiting Shiites in several Arab states.

This project is a major game with rules that both competing parties firmly agree on and apply. This applies both in rivalry (not war, as it is not part of the game for Iran and Israel to engage in direct combat) and in cold peace, depending on the socio-political landscape in the region.

The dishonourable plans of both Israel and Iran to annex and seize the Arab region found their opportunity in the events of September 11th. This unleashed their hydrophobic thirst for revenge against the Arab-Muslim culture that had previously put an end to their deplorable practices in the region. This vicious competition began shortly after the U.S. declared the war on terror, announced by President George Bush following the attacks on September 11, 2001. The primary goal of the war on terror was to target the Sunni Muslim community. What followed was an effort to change educational curricula and impose American policies and dominance on various Arab and Islamic countries.

What came next was the activation and support of Shiite movements to complete the mission within Arab and Muslim countries, which involved persecuting and weakening the Sunni community through high and low-intensity conflicts. This would, of course, cost the super powers, effort, and money, - unless these conflicts were fuelled by sectarian hostilities. This is the situation we observe after 23 years, with militant Shiite groups backed by various powers infiltrating Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other Sunni Muslim countries.

The tyranny and deception of puppet regimes in the Middle East have plundered the wealth, dignity, and sovereignty of the Sunni countries. It has become easy for both the Iranian and Zionist Government to fulfill their pernicious plans. These plans disregard the lives of thousands, if not millions, of innocents, showing no mercy to children, women, or the elderly, and respecting neither covenants nor sanctities.

In summary, Hassan Nasrallah and all Hezbollah leaders have all been assassinated in less than a month since Israel began its recent war on Lebanon. This war has several objectives, first and foremost to find a way out for Netanyahu from the swamp of his failed war in Gaza. This also signifies that Hezbollah's role is over for Israel, as Israel is determined to invade Lebanon. This invasion may delay the end of Netanyahu’s tenure and his trial for war crimes against the people of Gaza.

Despite Hezbollah’s military capability to withstand Israel’s assault and attacks on Lebanon, it has never used its full force to defend the Lebanese territories, on the other hand, Nasrallah’s jittery statement about helping his Palestinian neighbours, clearly shows a calculated risk action against Israel, measured and monitored by Iran for political purposes.

Hassan Nasrallah is nothing more than a demolition contractor between Israel and Iran tasked with destroying the Sunni bloc in the Arab region, 22 years, he has fulfilled the job he was nominated for, and it is now time for him to be eliminated. It would not be astonishing to find that Hassan Nasrallah was also eliminated with the approval of Iran because his role had ended for them as well. Any person who follows recent events would likely reach this same conclusion.

Now, the Sunni community has only one choice left in all of these events: to unite their ranks. The coming challenges will be more fierce for them if they do not. We ask Allah for His help and guidance.
