Fundraising Dinner – February 22, 2025
On February 22, 2025, the Muslim Food Bank & Community Services hosted a fundraising dinner in Surrey. The evening was filled with spirituality, reflection, nasheed, a lively auction, and delicious food.
This year’s fundraising program featured a panel discussion hosted by Kabir Qurban with esteemed guests. Br. Azim Dahya, Founder of MFB, emphasized the need to build a strong infrastructure to support people in need. Using Surrey as a model, MFB has now established 9 to 11 centers across Canada, along with international branches in Fiji, Pakistan, Kenya, and Afghanistan.
The chief guest speaker, Shaikh Riad Ouarzazi, inspired attendees to donate generously, highlighting the immense importance of charitable giving.
The Surrey community showed overwhelming support, coming together in large numbers to aid their local Muslim Food Bank. Alhamdulillah, it was a heartwarming sight to witness the Ummah unite to support our brothers and sisters in need.
