The Sri Lanka Muslim Society of BC (SLMSBC) hosted 3rd annual EID celebration at the elegant Riverside Banquet Hall in Richmond, BC. The event brought together over 400+ community members, along with esteemed guests and imams from Masjid Salaam, Richmond Jamia Masjid, and MAC Vancouver.
Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet, meaningful conversations, and a joyful atmosphere filled with the spirit of EID. A highlight of the evening was the keynote address by Nazeer Bawa, who spoke passionately about the need for a dedicated community center to preserve and promote Sri Lankan Muslim heritage for future generations.
As a registered nonprofit, SLMSBC invites all Sri Lankans in the Lower Mainland to get involved, volunteer, and support ongoing programs to help build a vibrant and thriving community.
The evening wrapped up on a high note with 25 exciting door prizes given to lucky attendees. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this celebration a success!
