Iqra Islamic School has grown tremondously over the Years. Along the way they have been able to start from the bottom and has been able to reach to the top. No ranked among the top Number one Position among other schools.
The growth of Iqra has made a alot of people proud of their Achivements in the community. Their Excellence in education in academics as well as delivering Islamic Teachings has encouraged more parents to enroll their children with Iqra.
Thier growing popularity in them Muslim community has put an increased demand for their services. Keeping this in mind the management of Iqra has initiated a High School project to be buit ground up on a land they have purchased and are plannng to payoff of rezone it for High School.
On November 21st, Iqra held a fundraiser to collect funds to pay off the balance on the loan.
The event had a great turn out. Among the audience was MP Ken Hardie, MLA Bruce Ralston, MLA Harry Bains.
The program started with the children performances followed by introduction about Iqra by the Principal of Iqra school Br Faisal Ali. Br Ali Mihrig the president of Iqra thanked the community for their continuos support.
The Guest speaker for the event was Br Shehab from Toronto. He was instrumental in raising over $85,000 for the night in pledges.
