Darwin’s Theory of Evolution: A Theory that became an Ideology of Denial

For over a century, Darwin’s theory of evolution has been promoted as scientific truth in Western schools and institutions. But the reality is, evolution is not an absolute scientific fact—it is a belief system, an ideology dressed as science. At its core, it’s a convenient tool that allowed many in the West to turn away from the believe of a Creator, not because of overwhelming evidence, but because belief in God carries responsibility, direction, and purpose. And for those who wish to follow self-desire without restraint, evolution became the intellectual shield to deny divine accountability.
But this theory has not gone unchallenged.
Numbers of scholars, scientists, and thinkers—many of them from the West itself—have raised critical questions about Darwin’s assumptions. Biologists have pointed out the complexity of genetic information, the lack of transitional fossils, and the mathematical impossibility of life forming by random chance. Evolution, as it stands, has never provided concrete, testable answers about the origin of life or the diversity of species. It rests on speculation, not certainty.
Scientists like Dr. David Berlinski, Michael Behe, and even dissenting voices within the evolutionary field have called out its failures. Yet, it continues to be upheld—not because it is flawless science, but because it suits an ideological narrative that removes the Creator from the equation.
And while Western society continues to cling to this collapsing theory, the Qur’an revealed over 1400 years ago gave clear, accurate, and deeply profound insight into the creation of human life.
In Surat Al-Hajj, verse five, Allah calls upon mankind:
“O mankind, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider] that We created you from dust, then from a drop, then from a clinging clot, then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed, that We may make it clear to you…”
This verse, revealed centuries before modern science, outlines the exact stages of embryonic development now confirmed through medical science.
In Surat Az-Zumar, verse six:
“He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in three layers of darkness…”
This reference to the womb’s protective layers aligns with embryological knowledge—another scientific miracle of the Qur’an.
The Hadith of the Prophet sent to mankind, Muhammad, peace be upon him, offers even more clarity. In Sahih Muslim, it is narrated:
“Each one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for forty days as a drop, then becomes a clot for a similar period, then a lump of flesh… Then an angel is sent to breathe the soul into him.
This is not primitive or poetic speech. It is precise, timed, and accurate knowledge of a process the world only began to discover in the last century.
Despite these accurate Islamic references and legitimate scientific challenges to Darwin’s theory, why does the West insist on teaching Darwin’s disproven theory in classrooms and universities to our children?
Because Islam has never truly been introduced in the West on its own terms. The West rejected religion, yes—but what they rejected was a distorted version of faith shaped by historical trauma like the Crusades, the abuse of church power, and the rise of atheistic ideologies. Islam, the only faith that aligns seamlessly with science, purpose, and reason, has been kept hidden behind a veil of Islamophobia, misinformation, and political resistance.
But now, the world is searching again. There is a deep emptiness—spiritual, emotional, moral. People are asking again: Why are we here? Who created us? What is the meaning of life?
Darwin’s theory offers no answer. It explains neither origin nor purpose. But Islam does. The Qur’an does. And the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, brought a timeless, divine message that speaks to every generation.
Muslim scientists in the modern era like Dr. Zaghloul El-Naggar, Abdulmajeed Zindani, Dr Haroon Yahya, Dr Sher Ali and others—have also challenged Darwinism from both scientific and theological grounds. The Islamic world has preserved the understanding that creation is not the product of chance, but of divine will, design, and wisdom.
The extraordinary scientific contributions of these scientists has not only advanced our understanding of human development but has also inspired other renowned scholars to explore the profound insights found in Islamic teachings. Notable figures such as Professor Keith Moore from the Anatomy Department at the University of Toronto, Professor Yoshida from Japan, and the French scientist Maurice Bucaille, along with the Jewish journalist Leopold Weiss, who later adopted the name Muhammad Asad, have all delved into the Qur’anic depiction of the creation of man. Their investigations led them to embrace Islam, recognizing the alignment between modern scientific discoveries and the teachings found in the Qur’an and the Sunna of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
It is time we stop treating Darwin’s theory as sacred science. It is a failed ideology. And it’s time we invite the world to rediscover the truth—not just through reason, but through revelation.
Let humanity look again into the Qur’an, into the guidance of the Prophet Mohamed PBUH, and into themselves. There, they will find not only the evidence of their creation—but the roadmap back to their Creator.
We will show them Our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is a Witness over all things
